  • EFT is a form of energy psychology. This incredible tool is easy to learn and use and helps us to uncover what is hiding in our subconscious mind and holding us back. Positivity and affirmations are useless until we address what is hidden in the deep recesses of our mind.

  • Emotions are energy in motion. When energy becomes stuck or disrupted in our bodies, we experience this as stuck emotions (e.g. depression, anxiety) and/or unwanted behaviours or physical symptoms. EFT is used to clear these energy blockages within the body and to calm the central nervous system.

  • EFT works by sending opposing messages to the brain. Statements about an unwanted issue arouse the fear response in our amygdala. Meanwhile, applying light pressure on our meridians (tapping) sends a calming signal to the same region of our brain. When we tap long enough, we can diminish the ‘threat’ (which reduces cortisol levels in the body) and bring new information to the issue/memory/outdated mental model. The memory persists, but not the arousal.
